Hey all, I was wondering what kind of dog you have.
I have a toy poodle. He only weighs about 15 pounds. His name is Gus and he is very well behaved.

I have my guide dog. He is a 5 year old cross Lab Retriever. I wish I could have more animals but my family don't like it.

We have no dogs or cats, but, there are lots of bugs. LOL.

I have a golden retriever guide dog, Jasper. I also technically have a dog named Boomer. I say technically because he's supposed to b mine, but he lives with my parents, and we all know that he's happier that way. But he's a mut really. He looks mostly like a small golden retriever, but he holds his tail like a irish setter, and his ears are kind of like a spaniels.

I am a huge, huge animal lover. I have two cats, and two dogs. I have been around animals my entire life. The two dogs that I have, are my guide dog, which is a male chocolate lab/doberman mix. I also have a female german Shepherd. However, right now, I am living with my parents until I am able to save up enough money to get my own place, so I am surrounded by many other dogs. I have my two, and my parents have a few as well. They have an akeita, a basset hound, a jack russel terrier, a bull mastiff/great dane mix, a little chihuahua/pikingese mix (JAWS isn't pronouncing that right, but I think you know what I mean), and they also have a dog of which we're not exactly sure what she is. We do know that she has chow in her, but the vet told us that they think she has a little border collie in her too. We also have a little Yorkie.

I have my guide dog, Lancaster, who is a black lab. He turned two in March, and is very calm, sweet and gentle. plus, he's a great guide!

I don't have a dog. I love them, but am not sure I want to take care of them. I figure we have a choice when we adopt a dog, but the dog really doesn't. Rather than put a dog through the trauma of getting used to two families, I just don't think it fair if I'm not sure. God knows I love dogs and all animals to death. I think they are on the earth to teach us lessons we need to learn.

I have a Jack Russel terrior named Daisy! Our neighbor gave her to me! She was abused by her fomer owners! The vet told me this! I've decided to keep her even though I'm scared of dogs! I just can't give her back to those creul people! I also have a guinea pig named Emma!

Hope, that's really neat. Both our cats have been adopted. The second one came from an animal blood bank and was scared of people. He was the bully of all the cats. He's a real marshmellow, and we love him. He'd rinde around the house on my shoulder. Sorry about being off-topic, but I had to respond to what you did.

That's cool. I'm thinking of getting a miniature Yorky when I leave home and calling him Harry Popper. We haven't had a dog for just over six years, but we used to have a golden retreever, Daisy and mum now shares my Grandparents, dog, a Bernese Mountain named Purdie, but it wouldn't be fair on the dog if we got one while we were both working, for I'll hopefully be working soon, which'll get me out of this funkhole.

we used to have a dog called harvy, he was a collie cross, but, unfortunately we lost him in april due to a bad heart. he was so loyal and much missed. my sister, got a mini yorkshire terrior puppy called baby cakes of all things, but we shortened it to baby. it's more mine and mum's dog now as she lost interest, but, i also want to get a guide dog when i'm older.

Hi all, Our chihuahua Penny had to be put to sleep in July due to several health problems that weren't going to get any better. The vet said it was we could keep her alive a little longer but it would end up to the same thing. We miss her though. In the meantime, Ginger, a doxson that belongs to my brother and his family has adopted us. She comes down stairs where we live and doesn't go upstairs anymore. We feed her and she sleeps down here now. I guess that qualifies as adoption. Donna

I've also been around animals my whole life. We don't have a dog at present. It isn't really fair to have one with the hours mum works, but in the past, we've had an Alsatian, Carly, a cocker Spaniel, Poppy, a retriever, Daisy and a Bernese Mountain, actually my Grandparents dog's sister, Charly. We only had her for 10 months because of mum's work and my Grandparents couldn't really manage two Bernese Mountains. They've still got Purdie though, so mum shares her with them and takes her for her walks at the weekends. Hopefully, not too long after I leave College, I'll have a guide dog myself.

I have had many pets over the years, including a cat, at least fifty gerbils, (if you get those, have them fixed, if that's possible), and some fish. (Unfortunately, those took a ride on the "Porcelain Express". I look forward to getting my guide dog. Until that happy day, however, I have a six-year-old golden retriever named Jackson. All he does is sleep in a quiet corner all day, but otherwise, he loves to play.

I have a very happy, very exuberant male yellow lab named Flip ... who just happens to be my guide dog.

Post 18 by redgirl34 (Scottish) on Tuesday, 27-Feb-2007 7:02:44

There is lots of dogs where I live. One next door a white small dog. There is 2 golden retrievers and a black small dog and I have my guide dog.

We now have 3 dogs at home (as the other 2 are gone.) Penny is a large mix, Chiquita and Star are both chihuahuas, but Star is a smaller type than chiquita. The other 2 we had until recently (Azi and Sunshine) were chihuahua mixes, but Sunshine died and we don't know what happened with Azi.

Is your cat one of those unfriendly cats then? LOL. I had a cat, named Pizzazz, or Zazzie, but she was a little bitch. Only really liked me and clawed and hissed at everyone else. Hehehehe.

Post 22 by shea (number one pulse checking chicky) on Tuesday, 27-Feb-2007 18:34:13

lol alley, that is psycho all the way. she loves dan and i and a handful of people. Everyone else look out. hehehehe smilees

Wow I forgot I posted on this peticular board last year lol! Lou thank you for replying to my post about Daisy! Daisy and I get along fine! Emma had to have a tumor removed last year! It isn't cancer thank God! It was a tumor of the tissues! It has a fancy Latin name! The vet said it may grow back! But so far it hasn't! Daisy got some tape worms! I was worried! I don't know how she got them! She's an inside dog! I was worried! The vet gave her some medicine! My mom put it into some ham! She said I had to give it to her! I was so upset that I all most dropped it! Hope

Post 24 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Wednesday, 21-Mar-2007 17:28:53

An inside dog getting tapeworms. That scares me, as Jackson is one of those house dogs. Anyway, about hissing cats, we used to have one, and he was pissed off at everyone. He scratched the furniture and bit my mom. Thankfully, I don't see anymore of those in the near future.

I have a retrever basengy mixed girl dog named Jade. For though's of you that don't no what a basengie is a basengy is a african hunting dog. She was a pound pupy, so don't ask me how she got that kind of petagrie. Lol
I don't really like cats for the exact rezon's someone menchend, the bighting and scratching and just being pissy and not letting you pet them when you want to, you have to pet them when they want to. Give me a sweet doggie anytime!

Post 27 by Twitch (Account disabled) on Monday, 09-Jul-2007 14:18:23

Wow... a Basenji mix! I bet it's a beautiful dog. My sister has a golden retriever named Marley, I hang out with him a lot, he's just the sweetest doggie!!! We also have a lot of cats, four at my mom/brother/my house and four more at my sisters.

I have a jack russell, great pyrenese, austrailian sheperd mix named honey. She just turned a year old. I got her in april from a humane society for my birthday. i love her to pieces but can't wait for her to out grow the chewing stage.
before her i had a terrier mix named scottie that i had had since i was in second grade. she passed away a few years ago and it has taken me a while to decide i wanted a new dog.

Post 30 by Diane (Missing a Friend!) on Monday, 19-Nov-2007 14:38:38

I have Chopper, an energetic, inquisitive golden retriever, that is my awesome new Leader Dog. I also have retired guide, Winnie, a sweet, calm yellow lab and Sox, a pointer, that is a brownish color with white feet, hence her name. My son is a sports fan, hence Sox, not Socks. . They are all cool and get along great! Dogs rock!!! The world would be a sadder place without our canine friends.

Post 31 by Harmony (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Tuesday, 20-Nov-2007 13:51:41

Mum said she wouln't et another dog after we had our othe dog put down, but a few months later, she got Lola. Lola was also a rescue dog, because she'd been badly treated before we got her. It's really sad when people treat animals like that.

Post 32 by Jesse (Hmm!) on Tuesday, 20-Nov-2007 19:41:24

We have a lab named Shelbie, and three rottweilers, Champ, Lady, and Hitler. Don't ask. It wasn't my idea to name him. Hopefully he'll never have a Jewish vet.

Post 33 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Wednesday, 21-Nov-2007 10:39:07

Before we got our golden, Jackson, we had a, (and here, I have no idea how to spell the dog's breed because she was a cross between a Yorky and something else). anyway, she lived to the ripe old age of seventeen. had to put her to sleep, and that was a difficult time in my life. She only weighed four pounds and was white. and ... yeah, I'll get the rest of my pets in on another board topic, including the fish that have long since died. lol

Post 34 by Jesse (Hmm!) on Friday, 23-Nov-2007 17:56:29

17? You got a lot of years out of that dog, but they say little dogs have a tendancy to live longer. I could write a novel about all the dogs we've had here.

Post 35 by Harmony (I've now got the silver prolific poster award! wahoo!) on Sunday, 25-Nov-2007 11:03:15

We also used to have a king charles called Buster who was about 5 when we had to have him put to sleep. Apparently he had cancer.

Hi everyone.
Our family has a shit zoo named Luci. She is adorable and she only weighs about 10 lbs. She's one of the cutest dogs that our family has ever had!!!!!! And she loves to play and she loves people, whether they are kids or not.

Post 37 by singingsensation (I just keep on posting!) on Friday, 28-Mar-2008 18:02:04

BTW, we also just got a dog. I think it's a boy but I'm not totally sure about that. It is a cross between a black lab and a husky.

Post 38 by Reyami (I've broken five thousand! any more awards going?) on Saturday, 29-Mar-2008 6:06:14

For a while, we had my guide dog in the house, but I was in charge of caring for him. *smile* He was a yellow labrador golden retriever cross, named Steven.
